ERP Intensive FAQ

What is an ERP Intensive?

An ERP Intensive simply means longer and/or more frequent sessions. Instead of meeting once per week we can meet up to 5 times a week and accelerate your learning of how to manage your OCD symptoms.

An ERP Intensive is a personalized treatment plan that allows you to progress through learning to manage your OCD symptoms without the interruption of having to wait another week for the standard weekly therapy session.

An ERP Intensive decreases the overall treatment time through more frequently and longer sessions. This can accelerate the overall progress compared to traditional 50 minute weekly sessions.

An ERP Intensive provides you quicker access to specialized time slots that are marked for intensives only.

How does an intensive work?

An ERP Intensive involves an extensive 90 minute assessment to determine the severity of your symptoms, identify your goals for treatment, and determine the number of days per week we will meet. ERP sessions will be 90-120 minutes and involve development of your hierarchy, engaging in exposures, and assigning/reviewing practice work to be done outside of session. After the intensive is complete we will meet again for an assessment to determine the improvements made and engage in discussion of how to apply concepts ongoing.

How much does an ERP Intensive cost?

The cost for an ERP Intensive is as follows:

  • 90 minute intake and assessment session: $275

  • ERP sessions are $200 for 90 minute sessions & $250 for 120 minute sessions

  • Follow up session: $200

  • A workbook and reading material are provided

ERP Intensives currently are most often scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and Friday afternoons; however, sessions can be scheduled at other times depending on availability.

Saturday sessions are available at a cost of $300 per hour.
